British a cappella TV champions Semi-Toned to appear in Kerrville

Semi-Toned is a group of full-time Exeter University students who formed an a cappella singing group that won the BBC’s The Choir television talent contest. They will start their North American tour in Kerrville on April 6.


Semi-Toned–a group of Exeter University students who won BBC2’s The Choir: Gareth’s Best in Britain–will kick off their North American tour with a concert at Kerrville’s Cailloux Theater on Thursday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m.
The 12-member group will present “Sing Theory,” a trip through the music of the 1960s to the present time. The show includes singing, acting, sketches, humor, and dancing, built around a repertoire that covers everything from klezmer to Jay-Z, The Beatles, and Gwen Stefani.
