Entrants Sought for Schreiner Car Show

Area residents, students and visiting alumni are invited to participate in the first Schreiner University Recall Car Show on Saturday, April 22, in front of the Athletic and Event Center on campus.
The show will run from noon to 2 p.m., and judging will start at 1 p.m. Registration is $5 per car, or $3 per car for current Schreiner University students. Awards will include Best in Show, Best Restoration, and Most Muscle (horsepower and engine size).
Participants are encouraged to enter the campus using the Main Street entrance on east side.
The car show is being sponsored by the Schreiner University Car Club in collaboration with the Alumni Affairs office. Proceeds will go toward Schreiner students participating in the Callioux Foundation’s fall 2017 Chalkfest.
The show will start after the 11:30 am dedication of the university’s baseball field in memory of Coach Bob Henry, and before a 1:30 pm musical show honoring Dr. Tim Summerlin at the repurposed Summerlin Music Education Hall. Both events—and an afternoon of Mountaineer NCAA-D3 baseball and softball—are free and open to the public.
