Cargill receives scholarship

Corey Douglas Cargill, son of Lorri Robbins and the late Craig Cargill of Moore, Oklahoma and grandson of Telvy and Gloria Robbins of Bandera, recently celebrated his graduation with the 2017 May class of Westmoore High School in Oklahoma. The 494 member class held commencement exercises in the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
Corey graduated in the top 20 percent of his class; was a National Honor Society member for three years; a Link Crew member, mentoring to the younger students; and being a true sportsman, played basketball and baseball all four years of high school. A highlight of his senior year was being on the State Quarter-finalist basketball team and also on the State runner-up baseball team, position pitcher.
Corey received scholarships from Oklahoma City Community Foundation and the Freshman Destination scholarship from the University of Central Oklahoma. He plans to attend UCO and major in sports management.
Proud grandparents plus family members from California and throughout Texas were in attendance for his graduation activities and attended a bar-b-que celebration supper in the family home in Moore. Congratulations, Corey! We are proud of you!
