Discover the Magic of Reading

Wednesday August 30th 10:30 am: Children's Story Time will start back up, with games, crafts, puppets and stories all designed to help you child with reading readiness. It's also a great place for making friends, both for the children and the adults. Join us every Wednesday starting August 30th for learning and fun.
Monday September 4th The library will be closed on for Labor Day.
Saturday September 16th, 1-2 PM: College can be a very important part of a person's life, and it can be very challenging to pay for. Please join Anthony Ferragamo, of Edward Jones, as he leads a discussion on how to establish a college savings goal, strategies to help you reach your goal and features and benefits of various education savings plans. It is never to early to plan for higher education.
Saturday October 7th, 8 am-2pm Sign up now!: Do you have too much clutter? Kids outgrown their toys and clothes and you don't know what to do with them? Rent a space at our Community Garage Sale! The library will host the Lakehills Genealogy Fundraiser to purchase Ancestry.com so that it is available to the entire community to research their ancestry. Booths start at $10 and tables are available for rent. Come by the library and rent your booth today!
Saturday, December 2nd from 9AM to 5 PM Sign up now!: The Lakehills Library Board is seeking local crafters and sellers to be a part of our Christmas Market Day. Booths start at $10. Please contact Dianna Landes at 830-510-2777 if you are interested.
The second Wednesday of every month: Genealogy Club will be starting back up soon. The group meets monthly to work on the library computers and search together and share information. The library can also connect you with a genealogy tutor if you need help getting started. This is a free service provided by volunteers of the library.
