Ridin the River Cowboy Fellowship plans Community Events


Ridin’ the River Cowboy Fellowship will be hosting two barrel races, Nov. 18 and Dec. 2 at Mansfield Park in Bandera. Plus, a Cowboy Cook-off event is planned.
The barrel races will consist of exhibition, 18 and under youth, and open 4D (5D if over 125 entries). There will be $1,000 added with 80 percent payback, no office charge and buy-backs will be available, (full entry fee).
Entry fees are as follows: exhibition - $5; youth - $35; and open - $45.
Books will open at 9 a.m. Exhibition will begin at 10 a.m.; followed by youth, with the open following youth.

The Cowboy Cook-off will also be held at Mansfield Park on Nov. 18 and is open to all area cook teams. Entry fees are $100 per team. All main ingredients will be provided to the teams. Meet at 7:00 a.m. with turn in of meals at noon. Great prizes will be given to the winning teams. Food from the cook-off will be sold to the public for $8 per plate.
