On Nov. 2, 2017, the Medina Chapter #988 celebrated its 66th birthday. Since the Chapter was chartered by the Grand Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star in November of 1951, chapter members thought it only fitting to wear fashions from the 1950s era for the celebration and enjoy the music from that era as well.
Beverly Stroman, District 5 Section 3 Deputy Grand Matron, made an official visit to comemorate the occassion. Chapter members helped celebrate her birthday as well, with a special cake and gift. Attendees enjoyed a potluck dinner with side dishes, many of which were prepared using recipes made popular in cookbooks from the 50s.
