Kneuper named CDCAT President at Annual Conference

Tammy Kneuper was sworn in by CDCAT Immediate Past President Celeste Bichsel, of Carson County as President of the Association at the 122nd Annual conference held in South Padre, June 28.

Bandera County District Clerk, Tammy Kneuper has taken over the reins as President of the County and District Clerks’ Association of Texas.
Having served as the CDCAT Parliamentarian, Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President, Tammy was sworn in as President of the Association at the 122nd Annual County and District Clerks’ Association of Texas Annual conference held in South Padre, Texas June 28th, 2017.
She has worked in all aspects of City and County Government over the past 35 years, starting her career in the Bandera County Appraisal Office and then becoming the Bandera City Secretary in 1982. She has held a Peace Officer and Jailer Commission as well as being the secretary for the Sheriff’s Department serving as a Deputy and Jail Administrator in Bandera and Kerr Counties. Tammy was the clerk for the Justices of the Peace in Precincts 1, 2 and 4 in Bandera County until she was elected as Bandera County’s first District Clerk after the Commissioner’s Court separated the combination office of the County and District Clerk in 1999.
Mrs. Kneuper has served on the Bylaws Committee, Legislative Committee and Website committee for the CDCAT as well as a Board of Director & Director –in-charge for CDCAT Region IV. She has served as a panelist, moderator and speaker at the different conferences for the Association and Regions, and has been nominated as District Clerk of the Year for 8 years. Tammy is an active member of the Texas District Court Alliance and serves as Secretary of the Association. She is an active member of the Bandera County Republican Women, and in July 2015 was inducted into the Joshua D. Brown Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
Tammy was born and raised in Bandera County, and resides in Medina with her friend, life partner and spouse Gerald Kneuper of 45 years. They have two children Shannon Kneuper Miller of Boerne and Charles Kneuper of Hamilton, being blessed with three grandsons, Cade and Cash Kneuper, Samuel Miller and one granddaughter Shyanne Miller, which are the joy of her life. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Medina and enjoys working and volunteering in community organizations whenever needed.
