The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 261 dispatch calls from Sept. 25, 2017 to Oct. 2, 2017, which included 2 calls for fraud, 1 for mail tampering; 1 hit and run; 4 major accidents; 3 minor accident; 14 reckless driving; 4 abandoned vehicles, 1 recovered stolen vehicle, 2 harassments, 4 disturbances, 6 domestic disturbances, 2 loud noise party, 3 shots fired; 1 robbery, 2 thefts, 4 burglaries, 2 criminal mischief; 3 criminal trespasses, and 2 assaults. There were 4 calls about loose livestock; 4 animal bites, and 19 calls about dogs and cats. There was 1 missing person, 10 welfare concerns, and 8 calls for child protective services, 2 drug overdose, and 1 attempted suicide. There were 6 calls regarding suspicious persons, 3 suspicious vehicles and 11 suspicious circumstances. There were 11 calls for information, and 50 misdialed calls to 911, among other things.

Jail population included 12 females and 50 males for a total of 62 inmates; 22 of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 5 from Real County, 4 from Kendall County, and 12 from Medina County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety made arrests for the following crimes and warrants:
• Assault with bodily injury, on Sept. 25
• Two counts of theft of firearms and unlawful carrying, on Sept. 25
• By court order, on Sept. 25
• Burglary of a building and criminal trespass, on Sept. 26
• Two failures to appear warrants, on Sept. 28
• Violation of court order and failure to appear, on Sept. 28
• Warrant arrest for an outside agency, driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest, on Sept 28
• Possession of less than 1 gm of controlled substance penalty group 1, burglary, and warrant for an outside agency, on Sept. 29
• Possession of less than 1 gm of controlled substance penalty group 1, burglary, and tampering with evidence, on Sept. 29
• Aggravated sexual assault, on Sept. 29
• Warrant arrest, on Sept. 29
• Warrant arrest and public intoxication, on Sept. 29
• Two traffic warrants, on Oct. 1
• Warrant for an outside agency, on Oct. 1
