The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 220 dispatch calls from Oct. 23, 2017 to Oct. 30, 2017, which included 3 major accidents; 1 minor accident; 3 abandoned vehicles, 4 road hazards, 11 reckless driving; 3 loud noise/party, 1 assault, 1 terroristic threat, 2 fraud, 2 harassment, 4 disturbances, 2 domestic disturbances, 6 shots fired; 4 thefts, 5 burglaries and 1 criminal trespass. There were 2 calls about loose livestock, 3 livestock welfare and 29 calls about dogs and cats. There was 1 report of death, 1 attempted suicide call, 1 overdose, 2 calls for child protective services, 6 welfare concerns and 1 missing person. There were 3 calls regarding suspicious persons, 9 suspicious vehicles and 10 suspicious circumstances. There were 2 calls to assist the public, 1 emergency message, 8 calls for information, 24 misdialed calls to 911, among other things.

Jail population included 09 females and 40 males for a total of 49 inmates; 19of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 3 from Real County, 11 from Medina County and 5 from Kendall County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety made arrests for the following crimes and warrants:
• Assault with bodily injury and injury to elderly, on Oct. 23
• Illegal dumping, on Oct. 23
• Unauthorized use of motorized vehicle, on Oct. 23
• Two failures to appear warrants and assault by contact, on Oct. 24
• Three warrants for an outside agency, on Oct. 26
• Driving while intoxicated, a first offense, and harassment by prisoner, on Oct. 26
• Driving while intoxicated, a first offense, on Oct. 28
• Warrant for an outside agency, on Oct. 28
