The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 219 dispatch calls from Dec. 4, 2017 to Dec. 11, 2017, which included 4 calls about shots fired, 6 major accidents; 1 minor accident; 9 other accidents, 9 reckless driving, 2 terroristic threats, 1 structure fire, 1 abandoned vehicle, 3 thefts, 6 burglaries, and 2 criminal mischief. There were 1 call about a fish and game violation, 2 dog/cat welfare, 7 loose livestock, 1 animal bite, and 16 calls about dogs and cats. There was 1 death report, 2 hospice death reports, and 1 attempted suicide. There were 4 calls regarding suspicious persons, 5 suspicious vehicles and 11 suspicious circumstances. There were 2 calls about missing persons, 3 runaways, 6 assist the public-inform, 11 calls for information, 11 extra patrol requests, 19 misdialed calls to 911, among other things.

Jail population included 8 females and 42 males for a total of 50 inmates; 16 of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 4 from Real County, 8 from Medina County, and 4 from Kendall County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety made arrests for the following crimes and warrants:
• Duty upon striking fixtures, on Dec. 3
• Possession of less than 2 oz of marijuana, on Dec. 5
• Two traffic warrants, on Dec. 5
• Warrant for an outside agency, on Dec. 5
• Evading arrest and driving while intoxicated, 2nd offense, on Dec. 6
• Warrant arrest, on Dec. 7
• Court order, on Dec. 7
• Driving while intoxicated, 1st offense, on Dec. 7
• Warrant for an outside agency, on Dec. 8
• Three traffic warrants, on Dec. 8
