LadyBulldog Varsity Track members Maddie Brzezinski, Sandy Clarkin, Morgan Gross, Alex Bauml, Kaitlin Rodriguez, Peyton Mooney, Lindsay Brown, Caitlyn Thrasher and Salma Gutierrez helped Bandera finish fourth at the Bandera Bulldog High School Early Season Relays.

Bandera hosted the Bandera Bulldog High School Early Season Relays on March 8, with a multitude of individual medals earned by Bulldog and LadyBulldogs in track and field competitions.
“The LadyBulldogs found scoring team points at the Bandera Relays somewhat easier than at the previous first three invitational meets of the 2017 track and field season,” Head Girls Track Coach Steve Golemon said.
The Varsity scored 99 team points, finishing fourth and 17 points behind District 28-AAAA rival Canyon Lake.
The LadyBulldog Junior Varsity finished third behind Canyon Lake and Hondo. Bandera’s JV was divided into three teams, with one team scoring 88.5 points and the "Blue" team scoring 22 points.
“The total of 110.5 for the two teams would have moved the LadyBulldog JV ahead of second place Hondo by 10.5 points,” Golemon said.
Overall, Golemon was pleased to carry a full roster for the meet, outscoring the previous meets.
“The massive increase in point total over the previous three invitational meets was largely the result of having nearly every member of our track and and field team available to compete for the first time during the 2017 track and field season,” Golemon said.
