Bandera Bulldog and LadyBulldog Tennis teams competed at the 28-4A District Tournament at Fredericksburg High School this past Monday and Tuesday (results will be posted in next issue), after finishing the Invitational Spring Tennis season with numerous individual accolades.
“We finished the invitational tennis season with a bang,” Head Tennis Coach Ginger Frye said.
Senior Boys single player, Jacob Williams finished the Uvalde tournament with a split record to head into District at Fredericksburg.
Sophomore Jazlynn Lewis split matches this weekend in Uvalde and the freshmen duo of Bri Lloyd and Mayumi Castro won Girls Doubles Consolation in their first Varsity outing playing in that division.
Other team members unable to make the last invitational tournament in Uvalde, but looking for a solid showing in Fredericks-burg, include seniors Heather Sutherland and Aidan Keane in singles and the mixed doubles team of Emily Diboll and Zeke Collazo. Juniors include Dreanna Hernandez and Josue Sifuentes and Max Hopf, all competing at District.
Bandera’s Junior Varsity Bulldog and LadyBulldog Tennis team members will finish off District play this Friday, April 7, at Fredericksburg. Bandera Middle School Tennis teams will travel to Boerne on May 6, for their official District Tournament.
