LadyBulldog basketball camp strengthen skills

By Sandy Jennings BCC Staff Writer

LadyBulldog Alex Bauml received All-State Awards in Basketball.

After coming off of a winning season with Bandera deep in the playoffs, the LadyBulldog Basketball Camp welcomes campers on June 5 through June 7, from 12:30 pm until 3:30 pm, for their annual skills-building camp.
The camp takes place at Bandera High School’s competition gym under the direction of Head Coach Casey Botos joined by assistants Coach Ginger Frye and Coach Dee Heiner, along with other outstanding coaches and former LadyBulldog players.
Camp is open to all athletes that are entering the third through nineth grades. Campers will participate in organized drills, games and other activities that will develop their individual basketball skills, their knowledge of the game and how to incorporate these skills into team play.
Instructors will emphasize ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding, foot work, defensive skills and understanding basketball team concepts in the daily sessions in an informative and fun environment.
All campers will receive a camp T-shirt and will wear it the last day of camp for a camp photo. Individual recognition will be presented daily and at the end of the camp.
A free breakfast (offered to all students) will be served at 7:30 am in the BHS cafeteria and lunch will be served at 11:30 am.
Cost for the camp is $30 for preregistration and $35 at the door. For more information or to register, contact Casey Botos at or call 210-355-5191.
