Hill Country summer track and field extends registration

Calling all Track and Field enthusiasts ages five - 18, the Bandera Hill Country Summer Track and Field Camp, under the direction of BHS Head Girls State Champion Cross Country and Track and Field Coach Steve Golemon, is out of the blocks and moving fast and furious through their action-packed summer schedule.
After only two practice sessions, five Bandera Track and Field Club members competed in the Harper Summer Track and Field Meet on Thursday, June 1.
During the week of Monday, June 5, through Saturday, June 10, the Bandera Track and Field Club practiced on Monday and Wednesday and will participated in the Kerrville Summer Track and Field Meet on Tuesday, June 6 and will host the Bandera Summer Track and Field Meet today, Thursday, June 8.
Session I of the Bandera Hill Country Summer Track and Field Camp instructional periods will take place this Friday, June 9, from 8 am until 4 pm and all athletes ages five -18 are welcome to register and attend. The session continues through Saturday, ending at 3:30 pm. Session II of the Track and Field series takes place on Friday, June 23, though Saturday, June 24.
Upcoming Track and Field Meets include Bandera (June 8), Junction (June 13) and Bandera (June 15). The registration for all Hill Country Summer Track and Field Meets is at 4:30 pm, with field events at 5:30 pm, followed by the running events. All Bandera events take place at Bulldog Stadium.
Coach Golemon stated it is not too late to register for the Bandera Track and Field Club and participate in the activities which are offered by the Club. To join in the fun, merely contact Coach Steve Golemon at 830-688-9627 or sgolemon@banderaisd.net.
