Lady Bulldogs finish strong at Cross Country Invitational

The varsity Bandera Lady Bulldog cross country team rested its top 5 runners at the 2107 Bandera Bulldog Pre-District Cross Country Invitational on Oct. 4. The girls who ran as the Bulldog varsity team competed exceptionally well, finishing 3rd — only 13 points behind the 2nd place team (Carrizo Springs) and 14 points behind the 1st place team (Devine).
The junior varsity team did even better. Coming off a 1st place win at the 2017 Poth Pirate Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 30, the Lady Bulldog junior varsity continued their winning ways by capturing the 1st plaque at the Bandera Bulldog Invitational. The Varsity Division team standings and point totals were:

The Bandera Bulldog Pre-District Cross Country Invitational on Wednesday, Oct. 4, brought to an end the 2017 invitational cross country season for the both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs. Now, both groups move forward to the championship season, which begins with the 2017 District 28-4A Cross Country Championships at the Hondo Municipal Golf Course on Thursday, Oct.12. The championship races are run on a fixed schedule as follows:
9:15 a.m. Varsity Girls
9:45 a.m. Varsity Boys
10:15 a.m. Junior Varsity Girls/Non-Varsity Senior Girls
10:45 a.m. Junior Varsity Boys/Non-Varsity Senior Boys
