The varsity basketball team competed in the Pearsall tournament over the weekend. Overall, the Bulldogs had a successful trip going 3-2 in the tournament. The team played well but fell short in two of the games. All players contributed throughout the weekend. Brandon Chamberlain was selected as an All Tournament player. He played well and scored 6, 10, 21, 19, and 13 points in the games respectively.
Jerry Alcorta led the team as the point guard and put his teammates in position to be successful as he had several steals and assists throughout the weekend. Alex Cardenas and Ben Shackelford were major contributors, as they provided scoring and defensive production for the team.
The Bulldogs will travel to Uvalde on Dec. 5, to face off against the Coyotes.
