Lauren Finley, daughter of Ken and Bonnie Finley of Pipe Creek, and a junior at the Geneva School of Boerne, was recently selected for Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools 1A Academic All-State. Other athletes honored during a recent all-school assembly were Trey Greenlees, Kendel Lipe and Kyrsten Budde.

“We are very proud of these outstanding student-athletes,” noted a spokesman for the Geneva School.

To be eligible for TAPPS Academic All-State qualification criteria, athletes must be a junior or senior with a 90 or above grade point average. In addition, they must have been named to the all-district team in their respective sport or have finished in the top 15 at the state cross-country meet.

All four athletes qualified through their top finishes in the TAPPS 1A Cross Country Meet in Waco in October.

Kendel Lipe was also selected to the TAPPS 1A All-District Volleyball Team. The Geneva Volleyball Team finished second in the TAPPS 1A State Tournament in November.
