Kat and Tia
Kat Bartolec, from Germany, and Tia Provost, from Australia, met last summer in Madrid, Spain and decided to do some traveling together. Over the last several months the exuberant pair have traveled from San Diego to Vancouver, ending up in Bandera. They like to visit and work on organic farms and found Debbie and Sidney Gibson’s place in Bandera County on the Internet. “The first thing we did when we got here was buy a pair of boots.” They happily handed out flyers for Bandera native Bruce Robison’s homecoming celebration coming up in October although they admitted they didn’t know who he was. By Saturday evening, the charismatic duo were introduced at the National Professional Bull Riders contest at Mansfield Park as “Miss Germany and Miss Australia,” and they stood to take a bow. Only in Bandera, folks! You gals come back anytime.
